Leadership

New River Church is lead by Robin and Cecilia Plummer and Philip Parnham together with a wider leadership of home group leaders and assistants.

Both Robin and Cecilia (shown here with their son, Oscar) have a wide range of church leadership experience and prior to leading the New River Church plant were part of the leadership team for City Gates Church in central London.

Robin has ministered within various church settings in the UK and overseas. Robin is passionate about seeing ordinary men and women called and equipped to lead small groups of people in loving their streets. He also has a passion for Tottenham Hotspur Football club, modern art and eating/cooking good food (in that order)!

Cecilia has graduated from bible college in Sweden and was the full time youth worker for the Baptist Church in Ljungbye. Cecilia pastors at New River alongside her husband, overseeing cell groups and ministries and mentoring other women in the church. She wants to see all ages released in worshipping Jesus, she also enjoys visits back to her home country of Sweden and enjoys drinking cups of tea in any of the coffee shops on Upper Street.

The Home Group Leaders and Assistant Leaders contribute fully to the wider leadership of the church. These tremendous men and women provide leadership to the local cell groups and are responsible for overseeing the pastoral care of the members of their groups , as well as facilitating the outreach of the group to the members' friends and neighbours. Many of these leaders also minister in other capacities within the life of the church and we thank God for every single one of them!
