worship links:
Adam's suggestions:
I did an Internet search for Websites containing the words praise, worship and Christian". There were 3,790,000 hits. Here's a pick from them and some others that I've found encouraging!
www.worshiptogether.com
This site has a section called newsong cafe where Vicky Beechings does regular 5-minute interviews with some of the influential worship leaders of our time, like Matt (Norridge? hehehe - no, he hasn't been on just yet...) Redman, Chris Tomlin (How Great is our God), Brenton Brown (Hallelujah [Your Love is Amazing]) and, currently, David Crowder. I think you need to join to access these interview but it's free and they don't email you that often...
www.indieheaven.com
Maybe this betrays my indie roots but, if you like to check out new music, I can recommend this one. It seems to be a bit like www.GarageBand.com in that new artists submit songs which the Web community can listen to, rate and send up the charts. From what I've heard so far, the standard is pretty good.
www.alternativeworship.org/gods_ipod.html
If you ever wondered what God would have on His iPod (and don't say you haven't wondered that??) then this site looks good. Haven't checked it out fully yet - looks quite arty, lively and authentic. Also it seems to be aware that what can be very appealing to one person can be quite alienating to another.
www.familyworship.org.uk/showcase/
Those of you who went on the New River Church weekend away in September 2005 will remember Mark Scutt, from City Gates Church, who led us in worship a couple of times. It was a great blessing to have him there and some of you might like to check out the album he's just released.
Profits go to an organisation called For Life (http://www.4lifethailand.org) who "exist to bring LIFE to the hundreds of abandoned disabled children and disabled children living in poverty circumstances".
If you have your own favourite links related to worship please email them to Adam with a short recommendation for the site and we will try to include them...
