Our Dream
The New River that runs through Islington was built in order to bring fresh spring water into the city. We believe that God has called our church (working together with other local churches) to bring to Islington the refreshing and life that come from the streams of God’s Spirit. We also want to commission people to take these streams of God’s blessing to other parts of the UK and the world.
As it says in Jeremiah 17 v 7,8: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters” (NKJV)
In order to release this flow of God's Spirit from the church into the community, New River Church equips, releases and oversees men and women who lead cell groups - local small groups that meet in people's homes to love God, to love each other and to love their street.
