Our Church

Where Are we heading?arrow sign

We are inspired by the example of the New Testament church. Just picture Acts 2:42-47 (see below) in twenty-first century London. The results would be absolutely astounding!

Put simply, we are aiming for a large, prominent Islington church that is establishing Kingdom communities of worship, fellowship and mission across North London in response to the Great Commission (e.g. Matt 28:18-20) and the Greatest Commandment (Matt 22:36-40).

We are working together with other local churches that every neighbourhood in Islington might have a group of Christians meeting, praying and pastoring their neighbours. We are currently exploring a merger with Canonbury Community Baptist Church to this end.

Our Goals:
Medium-term goal: to establish 40 home groups across North London
Long term goal: to plant new churches into strategic areas

Acts 2:42-47
“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.” (NASB)
